Coming Down from the Mountain Experience

Coming Down from the Mountain Experience!
“Now it happened on the next day when they had come down from the mountain, that a great multitude met Him. Suddenly a man from the multitude cried out, saying, “Teacher, I implore You, look on my son, for he is my only child. And behold, a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly cries out; it convulses him so that he foams at the mouth; and it departs from him with great difficulty, bruising him. So I implored Your disciples to cast it out, but they could not.”
Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here.” And as he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him. Then Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the child, and gave him back to his father.” Luke9:37-42.
After witnessing the revelation of Jesus in His glory through a transfiguration of the human body into a glorious spiritual body, Peter, James n John were having a heightened state of faith, power and supernatural experience that was unprecedented in their lives.
However, coming down from the mountain ...reality hits them- that they were not able to cast out the demons in a boy’s life. Jesus said that faith only comes through prayer n fasting Mark 9:29.

How many times have we have mountain top experience of extraordinary quality n them something happened that reveals we are far from what we think we are and possess.
This is definitely a humbling experience that causes us to run back to God for an answer. That brokenness and desperation of our cry will enable His power and His spirit to flow through us. As I look back over the years a series of long fasting n prayer we’re desperate n end of the road moments in my journey of life.
From one day a week...over 2 year period as young Christian to 3 days....1 week....8 days....3 weeks ....and 21 days.... complete fast with water only.
40 days annually ...fasting for one meal each day for a number of years now.
Fasting n prayer builds up our faith n in that humbling n brokenness release spiritual authority to a new level.

Father, I bless you for seasons that You have drawn us closer to you and made us more like You.

I pray for sons n daughters - strengthen them n raise them up to a new n higher level of spiritual authority and faith.
