[12:34 AM, 7/20/2020] Dexter: Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven!
Firstly- Several revealed will of God never change: that none should perish; the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdom of our Lord and of our Christ....etc.
Secondly, the will of God be done regarding our nations as revealed to us in heaven when we pray.
Thirdly, on our ministry n personal level.
Prayer in the presence of our father in heaven will take us into “hearing” from our Father n seeing what He is showing us.
In the garden of Gethsemane Jesus prayed to His Father “And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” Luke 22:41-42.
This shows us ...our prayers must be aligned with His will and He will reveal His will clearly.
Paul rock had a similar experience “But the following night the Lord stood by him and said, “Be of good cheer, Paul; for as you have testified for Me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness at Rome.” Acts23:21.
Even when prophet Agabus did a prophetic act n took Paul’s belt n bound his own feet and hands and declared “So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind this man who owns this belt ...” and many pleaded with him not to go to Jerusalem, Paul knowing the will of God said, “For I am ready nor only to be bound but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” Acts21:13.
Many times we pray what is in our hearts - desire, need, blessings and guidance! However, what is important is to seek to know the will of the Father first and then we can take that will as revealed to us and pray it to come to pass on earth as revealed to us in the heavens. Not what we will but what His will be done!
Father, I pray for sons n daughters - as they draw close to you ...reveal your will for their ministry and their lives.
