Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven- for a nation!
Daniel who was in exile in Babylon read Daniel’s prophecies that the nation of Israel will be in exile for 70 years after which they will return to the promised land and rebuilt Jerusalem and the temple. “In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the lineage of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans— in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the LORD through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make a request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes. And I prayed to the LORD my God, and made confession, and said, “O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments, we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments.” Daniel 9:1-5.
This is praying in the will of God for our nation. According to the prophesies given by Jeremiah the prophet the 70 years were fulfilled n nothing was happening.
Then Daniel prayed identification repentance prayer - “we have sinned” and not “my forefathers have sinned”. “We have sinned and committed iniquity. we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments.”
Daniel stood in the gap for his people n forefathers snd prayed to God.
“O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations and the city which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies. O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city and Your people are called by Your name.” Daniel 9:18-19.
While Daniel was speaking, praying n made supplications before God, the angel Gabriel came and informed Daniel “At the beginning of your supplications the command went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved; therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision: Daniel 9: 20-23.
Praying for the will of God to come down on earth as it is in heaven will mean:
1. We declare the prophetic word of God regarding our nation and God’s time has come “kairos” time.
2. We stand in the gap and pray identification repentance prayer I.e. we stand on behalf of our nation and our people, our leaders who have sinned against God and ask for forgiveness. We will pray “we have sinned” though personally, you may not have sinned but your leaders.
3. Declare the great mercies of God and ask God for His forgiveness. Read Daniel 9:4-19.
Result:
1. Angel Gabriel was sent to Daniel immediately to understand God’s vision for the future.
2. Spiritual warfare took place between demonic principality and power - Prince of Persia and Michael one of the Chief angelic princes came to help to fight against this demonic prince of Persia so that the prince of Greece could come.
Sure enough years later the Persian Empire was defeated by the Greek led by Alexander the Great.
Thus what transpired in the heavenly realm- defeat of the principality Prince of Persia resulted in the change of regime to The defeat of the Persian Empire and the establishment of the Greek Empire.
Therefore when we battle the demonic principalities n powers over our nations it will cause a regime change in the governmental Sphere in our nation.
Father I pray for sons n daughters - grant then the anointing n authority to gather your family to stand in the gap for their nations n bring down demonic principalities n powers in the heavenly places. That your destiny for their nations as revealed by prophecies and their redemptive gifts will come to fulfilment- Malaysia, S’pore, Australia, Philippines, USA, S Pacific Island nations, etc.
I pray that not one but many will stand for you and pray for their nations in this kairos moment.
USA, Australia, England must stand up and take their place as leading nations to manifest your righteousness, justice and goodness and take the lead to bless other nations of the world.
I pray for the arising of your families in Asian nations including Australia n NZ to be the lampstands n shine their light before those who do not know You.
Father pour your spirit upon these sons n daughters that they will stand forth with the fire of your spirit to be the flame of the East filled with your glory and love.
Use these beloved sons n daughters to stand for You and cause a major shift in their governments according to your purposes.
